Bb Luke's first month celebration

We have so many occasions to celebrate in a year, CNY, V day, Anniversaries, Birthdays and next year we will have 2 more occasions to demand for presents, heehe.. Mother's day & Father's day. But for now we are going to celebrate Mr Guan's birthday which falls on 28 August, My birthday 4th of September and BB guan's 1 month old on 4th September! I just love his birth date, as August is the month that Mr Guan is born in and 4th is My birth date! A combination of us both.

So this year Mr Guan says that lets just celebrate together since the dates are so close to each other. I had always wanted to try the signature fried chicked at Yardbird MBS so here we are, at the YardBird.

The decoration is posh with a tinge of country feel.

After lunch we went shopping at Hermes because I needed to get a birthday present for Florence but BB Guan 超不给面子的, he did not wince a bit when we were having lunch, but upon stepping into Hermes for a mere 2 minutes, he was wailing 😫 I guess he didn't like us to shop. haa..

Well so much for now..more outings to come!

Here's a quick hello!

Today I had lunch at the db Bistro Moderne at MBS with Maggie, LT & Louise. The 3 of them ordered the famous Original db Burger while I had a Lobster Salad.

The beef patty used in the burger was really different from those I've had before. It was a mixture of sliced beef + minced beef + beef brisket. I would consider going back again just for it. As for my salad, sadly it was like any other regular salad.

Mozza @ MBS with Lynda, Diane, Huifan & Andrea

I have been to Mozza a few times already but this visit was made for the sake of Lynda and Diane who have not tried Mozza before despite the rave reviews they heard.  So for our CNY meetup, instead of eating the usual traditional Chinese fare, we went there for some pizza.

Although our dinner reservation was made for 7.30pm, we were not seated immediately as the waiters were still cleaning the table.  The place was as crowded as the last time I was there.

I quickly volunteered to order the food as the 4 of them didn’t seem to know what they wanted.  I settled for 2 portions of Diavola Wings $18 each portion, Pork Meatballs Alforno $17, Benno Pizza $35, Salame Pizza $29 and Funghi Pizza $30. Grapefruit soda, Lurisia Chinto, Lurisia Gazzosa, Lemon Soda $8 each and a Raspberry Tea $6.

In my opinion, the pizza was still as good as I remembered.  But the side dishes are expensive and unnecessary.  When I return for my 4^th visit I would just go straight for the pizza and soda, and nothing else.

Hi everyone!  How was Monday for you?  For me I enjoyed my Monday very much.

I went shopping with two of my girls and later met Wee Teik (Angie’s husband), Nick (Maggie’s bf) and Maggie for dinner at Yu Cusine at MBS.  MBS is one of my favorite malls too. You can find all the branded labels, the casino, food and supermarket all under one roof.  Meeting the boys for dinner was something out of the norm.

Before I wrote this post I was rather frustrated with work.  I felt like everyone was rushing me on the same day.  It felt like being stepped on by everyone on one same injured foot.  And then I started to wonder if we really did have options in life.  Sometimes it appears that we don’t.  Although some of you may tell me say of cos there is!  To do or not to do is also an option.  But then there are times you know that not to do isn’t an option.

Sorry to digress but I needed an avenue to vent it out. Back to Monday’s dinner.
