KungFu Tom Yum

KungFu Tom Yum

Bored of your usual steamboat or thai food? You had to tried this thai style steamboat.

Located at circular road, KungFu Tom Yum is a thai bbq steamboat restaurant. The shop is decorated to look retro like the shops we seen in Bangkok.

The appetiser, deep fried prawn and scallop. I like the scallop. ($12)

We order a 2 person set, that comes with marinated pork, pork belly, prawn, scallop and fish cake. includes a vege platter as well. ($38 for the set)

Look at the funny looking steamboat. It is using charcoal...how traditional it is. At first, we do not know how to place our meat, the meat will dropped into the soup. After a while, we master how to balance the meat....rule no.1 , not to be greedy and place alot of meat on the ufo haha.

The juice and oil of the meat will flow into the soup below when you are bbq-ing which suppose to make the soup more flavour.  Not for the health concious! I love the pork belly when bbq till a bit char and dip into the chili sauce they provided...heavenly!! The chilli here is power.

If you want more thai flavour, you can order a packet of thai instant noodle "Mamee" and pour the tom yum seasoning to the soup to make your own tom yum soup. But we think the clear soup is nice so we did not make it to tom yum soup.

Overall: We had a nice but sinful dinner...life is short , we should have some sinful induglences as and when hee...

Verdict : 3.5/5
