Orlando
Nick and I had been planning for this US trip since last year, the only "planing" we do is to book the air ticket . :P ...I am using my air miles to change the tickets for both of us therefore it is critical for us to book the tickets early so we can enjoy the saver rate plus you would get another 15% discount off the miles if you do it online. Since, it is going to be a super long flight, I paid additional USD 50 per pax for prefer seat. Extra Legroom.....we need it!
We booked the hotel, car, domestic airline tickets and theme park tickets about one month before our travel dates. As for iternary, is go there than decide.
As a Singaporean, we do not need visa to enter USA, imagine my shock when we are at Airpot checking in to the flight. The counter staff told us that she cannot check us in because we had not apply for the US visa waiver. I was thinking WTF is that...I thot we no need visa to go in how come still need to apply visa waiver thing...is just not logical. But luckily, we can do it online and it approve quite instantly. So remember to apply for the Visa Waiver online before you go USA, the pass is valid for 2 years. https://www.esta-online.net/
Singapore to Frankfurt to New York....after 21 hours we reached JFK Airport...still not our destination. Had to take another 3 hours flight to Orlando.
You know that you are in New York when you see the famous Yellow Cab!
Taking JetBlue to Orlando...
After 24 hours of travelling...We finally reach Orlando!! It's a long long journey...
When we reached Orlando is already night time. After checking in the hotel, we went out for supper. The kitchen forgot our order and we waited for about 45 minutes before the food came. The restaurant manager was very sorry when the waitress told her the kitchen forgot our order and she insist not to bill us for our supper and wanted to give us free dessert. We left $20 tips for the waitress as she and the restaurant manager keep apologising to us until we also feel "pei seh" to eat free haha
After supper, we went Wal Mart for Shopping....Walmart is just great...they sell EVERYTHING...including bullets !! Coleman ice box is super cheap, the price is more than 50% cheaper than in Singapore. But I don't know how are you going to bring back to Singapore, if you purchased.
This is my first and second day of the Us trip.....P/s: first day is spent eating, sleeping on the plane. Stay tune for more upcoming post on trip!!
