Paris Travel Blog by Maggie

Paris by Maggie

It had been quite sometime since I last travel with Ashley. the last trip is 4 yrs ago at London and Netherlands. This time, we had a new travel buddy Lynda.

Ashley and Lynda had book their tickets earlier on SQ, (I decided to join them last minute) , I would be flying a different flight from them. I took Qatar airline which is cheaper than SQ while I put myself on the waiting list on SQ Business return flight which I change using miles. Very luckily, I manage to get the return flight on SQ so I be back together with Ashley and Lynda.

I had never took Qatar airline before but I heard the airline is rank one of the top airline in the world, so I guess it should be on par with SQ if not better. Qatar Airline transit in Doha while SQ fly direct to Paris. Doha Airport is very modern so stopping over there was comfortable.

And guess what I am upgraded to business class for the flight from Doha to Paris FOC
....now I shall declare Qatar Airline is my favorite airline. The plane is super new, newer than the ones of SQ and you can watch the movie the moment you are board the plane till the moment you leave the plane. No wonder, it is rate No. 1 airline in the world. This is not possible on SQ which I find it irritating at times.

Ferragamo Amenities

Food was delicious...

Our hotel in Paris....which have a very nice courtyard

Our hotel room come with a small kitchenette..

Our daily activity...Ashley will take our OOTD before leaving the hotel...

Louvre Museum , Ashley said she got no interest in Arts. Lynda and me decide to go ahead and visit the museum while Ashley waits for us in Lafayette. The museum is  big....we cannot finish it in one day so we decided beforehand on the few painting and sculpture that we want to view. Of course Mona Lisa is one of them.

Not interested to go in...but Ashley had lots of interest taking photos outside...

I did the test...YES..her eyes is staring at you no matter where you stand....

There are wings in the museum and you need to show your tickets at each wings. Lynda lost her ticket after the first wing and her entry to our wing is deny. Here is what she missed out... :p

Paris is known for its fine dining , so how can we live Paris without trying out the Michelin restaurant there . We opt for Lunch because it is much cheaper than Dinner.

Starter....

Appetizer...three of us choose scallop...it was delicious!!

My main course..Chicken. It was great too..the chicken is very juicy as the same time flavorful....

Lynda's Steak...

Ashely's seafood stew..

Our desserts...

Free Madeleine and chocolate truffles..

Posing outside the restaurant...

Paris the birthplace of Chanel, LV, Hermes etc ...shopping for branded stuff was one of the highlights of our Paris Trip. Factory outlet was our first stop, hoping we can find any steal before we hit the main store. The factory outlet stuff was quite outdated, you can skip the factory outlet if you do not have enough time in Paris. USA still have the best factory outlet in my opinion.

Our lunch at a mall beside the factory outlet.....SEAFOOD!!

At Lafeyette, this mall is super crowded at all times of the day...with tour bus dropping loads and loads of China tourists here...if you prefer quieter mall...you can go to Printemps which is just beside Lafeyette. It is about the same as Lafeyette with loads of branded boutique inside.

Inside Lafeyette

At Angelina Cafe inside Lafeyette....food was average ....not really worth it for the price.

Rue Cambon is our favorite place in Paris....at here we shop n shop till our pocket got a big hole. As compare to malls, we prefer to shop here as we can shop hop..from one boutique to another boutique. Don't worry about language barrier..thanks to our China counterpart...almost all the boutique will have a Chinese speaking sales associate to help you.

Our loots...

Champs Elysees another shopping avenue where all the branded in house..

Inside A&F...the walkway is so nice...do go and check it out...yummy french guy at A&F door...

High tea at Laduree is another interesting experience...do give it a try...thou I prefer Pierre Herme Macrons

A visit to Louis Vuitton is a must in Paris....

We took the hop on and off bus to tour around Paris...not a very good idea on rainy season...half way thru our journey it was raining cats and dogst..we had to go down to let lower deck...the bus was very packed...remind me of our SBS bus during peak hour...

Happily posing before the rain started...

Paris Street is so beautiful...any building..any street also looks like postcard.

We were looking for the farmer's market that we saw on "Shi Shang Wang Jia"..but we failed to find it. But we accidentally end up in this flea market.....this would be a heaven for antique lovers. Lots of antique furniture...costume, jewelry....etc

Our day trip to Versailles Garden.....

Houses at Suburban area....

At the gate of Versailles....

I want to have a room like this too.....!!

The garden...some parts of it was under renovation when we were there...

Effiel Tower...at different time...

Our last dinner in Paris....48 euro including a glass of wine very good deal for happy hour, the ambiance was good

Our main..Scallop... forgot to took the photo of our starter which is half a dozen of oysters.
 Dessert...

Paris..you are so beautiful...I will be back!!
